The staying-still-for-a-really-long-time technique refers to a kung fu technique that Po mentioned was used by Mantis in Secrets of the Furious Five.

Description

This technique calls for extreme patience and stillness. It involves waiting for the right moment to take action and then striking an opponent swiftly.

History

In Secrets of the Furious Five

Mantis demonstrated this technique when he was held captive by a gang of crocodiles. Though he was restless and fought to free himself at first, as time passed he came to learn patience as he reached a trance-like state of mind. He used the "staying-still-for-a-really-long-time technique" to convince the crocodiles that he was dead, then quickly escaped his prison and defeated them when they opened his cage.

When Po finished his story, one of the rabbit children, as a joke, decided to do the technique.
