Trivia

  • "Pai Mei" translates into English as literally "white eyebrow" (traditional and simplified Chinese: 白眉?; pinyin: báiméi).
  • Pai Mei was most likely based off of the historical figure Bak Mei from Southern Chinese folklore, who is said to have been one of the five legendary elders that survived the destruction of the Shaolin Monastery and helped to spread Shaolin martial arts through China. He has been fictionalized in many different films, but is better known today by his Western name "Pai Mei", obtained from the Kill Bill character. Pai Mei from Legends of Awesomeness shares similarities with this particular character in name, appearance, and fighting technique.
