Background
Edit
"The mystical Moon Pool is said to be able to provide answers to the most difficult of questions. When the waters are stirred by a sufficiently enlightened being, it allows the answers to be seen clearly. Located just below the Dragon Scroll at the end of the Hall of Warriors, it is often visited by those seeking truth."[1]
Master Oogway used to take petals from the Peach Tree of Heavenly Wisdom and sprinkle them into the pool every morning. It is unknown exactly why he did this, but those petals still somehow linger around the pool even in his absence.[2]

Added by SpottedstarOogway shared his vision with Shifu about Tai Lung's return. Shifu was disturbed by this news and quickly became physically shaken, stuttering out his worries to his aging master. Oogway told him to calm his mind in order to allow him to visibly see the answers. He illustrated this with an analogy of the Moon Pool's waters — as it shook with disturbance, it proved difficult to interpret its reflection; but as Oogway tapped the water gently with his staff, the pool's waters calmed, allowing its viewer to see the reflection of the Dragon Scroll just above.

Added by TheSitcomLoverThe pool was first featured in the episode "Jailhouse Panda", when Shifu talked to Po in the Jade Palace.
The pool was later seen in "Owl Be Back" when Po accidentally caused the dragon statue above it to crash into the pool and create a large crack in it. This incident strengthened Po's belief that he was turning evil.Gallery
