2020 and it's not here yet. It's been 4 years and I feel like I'm dying of hunger from the dreamworks magic of Kung Fu Panda. I've rewatched all 3 now atleast 4 or 5 times and it never gets old. I only have one idea with some sub ideas. The first two were great, the third was a bit of a letdown but hopefully KFP4 really enlightens the KFP universe again.
My idea is that we know Po is many things: a teacher, a student, the dragon warrior, son of a goose, son of a panda, the list could probably go on. One of Po's traits that stick out for me is Po being a teacher. In the 2nd movie he has mastered inner peace it seems and the only person I believe who doesn't has inner peace just yet is Tigress. Of course, she has that soft spot for her friends and that tough, hardcore outside with a soul of platinum to be able to deal with anything, but once again being hardcore and all "kung fuey" - Po doesn't solve every single problem in this universe. There was this one scene in Kung Fu Panda 2 and I'm pretty sure some people noticed that Tigress was going to say something to Po before getting interrupted. It may not be important or it may be a story we all already know, but I think it was important. Dreamworks cut that out for a reason and I believe the next few KFP movies if not KFP 4 will shed some light.
Back to my inner peace idea, Po and Tigress don't have the same childhood, but their childhood is similar enough for them both to understand. KFP 2 hinted for me that there was something bothering Tigress when Po said "So hardcore you don't feel anything". Probably her orphan life and her parents abandoning her. Just like Po she just has to let go of that past, it would be cool to see Po mentor Tigress on inner peace.
Apart from the inner peace, I know there is a Po and Tigress fandom going around and I couldn't agree more with this fandom. I'm pretty sure whatever Dreamworks does with their relationship they may make people happy or mad. For my final words...I SHIP TIGRESS AND PO! There I said it.
