New Kung Fu Panda Series In the Works

Via The Nightfly with Dave Juskow featuring exec. producer/showrunner for DreamWorks Animation Mitch Watson. Talks about it @1:19:42 in the audio clip, mentioning that it'll be serialized, released on Amazon, more like the films, and will bring back Mick Wingert as Po.

Wait, the Five were making major appearances in the series before? I assume you're referring to their roles as "characters the bad guy beats up on his way to fight Po." Tigress is really the only one who's had any serious character focus in the films.

^ You could say she's the teacher's pet of the Furious Five(both within the canon and the fandom).

I wish the Four Constellations don't just get all the role, we need to see the Furious Five as well. And I am Pretty sure it won't be like LOA. LOA has a different universe of itself and movies and francise have nothing to do with it. I am certain about this. Because LOA sucked.

^ All joking aside, I'm sure the Furious Five and Shifu will appear in the series, but I doubt it will be to the same extent as LoA; the series looks to be focusing mainly on Po and these new Panda characters. It is your prerogative as a fan to decide whether to accept LoA as part of the series canon or not; it's the type of material where you can do that.

we need more British villains, maybe villains voiced by anime voice actors or WWE superstars...

Like maybe a tyrannosaurus rex villain voiced by Richard Epcar.

^ A T-Rex villain is abit too much for a streach for a show based on ANICHENT CHINA?!

^ WWE Superstars tend to be really annoying actors, in my experience; probably comes from their stage personalities which are/were more ego than anything else. Technically speaking, a T-Rex villain would not be outside the realm of possibility, given that their fossilized remains have been found in China. Of course, there would probably have to be some kind of mystical explanation for how such a character would be still alive/possibly undead, unless they want to throw in some kind of KFP equivalent to Marvel's Savage Land or Arthur Conan Doyle's Lost World. Of course, it does seem highly unlikely.

^ Well that's what I am trying to say. Now, I do agree with the fozzel findings, but apart from that, A T-Rex appearing in Anichent China, even with what you said in mind and what you brought up, it's still abit much. Even LOA avoided going too far with streahed dispense of disabelief.

Update: Leo Birenberg was just announced to be working on the show's score. (Source)

Never heard of him personally, so I'll probably spend some time later checking out some of his past work. According to the article, he composed music for the YouTube Red series Cobra Kai - also never heard of it, but it seems to be a spin-off of the Karate Kid movies. Since it shares a martial arts topic with KFP, listening to stuff from it might be the best comparison sample to get an idea of what may come in the new show.
